Description:
|
Low angle view of a roundel glass window. Almost all the original leaded-light windows, composed of spun glass roundels, were refurbished during Unlocking the Rylands. Each of the six hundred leaded panels was removed, and the roundels carefully cleaned and reassembled with new lead calms. Eight thousand new roundels (in six different shades) were purchased from a company in Germany to replace original broken roundels or inferior 20th century substitutes.
